What is MoodBinge?+
MoodBinge helps you find movies and TV shows based on how you feel right now — not just what's popular. Pick a mood, set a few filters, and instantly get the best picks from across Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5, SonyLIV, and more.
How does MoodBinge decide what to show me?+
Results come from TMDB (The Movie Database), one of the world's largest public movie databases. We filter by your selected mood (which maps to genres), language, platform, and sort order. We then apply a light personalisation layer — titles matching genres you've interacted with before appear slightly higher. We don't use black-box AI recommendations; what you see is driven by real popularity, ratings, and your filters.
Do I need to sign in?+
No. You can discover and browse everything without an account. Sign in with Google if you want to save your watchlist and sync it across devices.
What is the Watchlist?+
Add any title to your watchlist by tapping the + button on a card. Your list is saved on your device automatically. Sign in to sync it across all your devices. From your watchlist you can also mark titles as Watched and give a thumbs up or down.
What does "Mark as Seen" do?+
Tapping 👁 on a card (or swiping left on mobile) marks a title as seen in search results. It doesn't remove it from your watchlist — it just hides it from Discover results so you stop seeing titles you've already watched. Use the "Hide Seen" toggle in the results header to filter them out.
How do I use the swipe gesture on mobile?+
On any card in Discover results, swipe left. A red "✓ Seen it" reveal will appear. Swipe far enough (about 60px) and release to mark the title as seen. It's like Tinder — but for movies you've already watched.
What are the sort options?+
- Newest First — most recently released titles first (default)
- Most Popular — titles with the most watches and activity on TMDB right now
- Top Rated — highest rated titles with a meaningful number of reviews
- Most Reviewed — titles with the largest number of user ratings
Why do some languages (Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam) show fewer results?+
Regional language content is less consistently tagged in global databases. We use an extended search approach for these languages — pulling more pages and relaxing filters — to surface as many relevant titles as possible. We're continuing to improve coverage.
What is the Trending section?+
Trending shows the most popular titles on each OTT platform in India right now, updated daily from TMDB's trending data. Switch between Netflix, Prime, Hotstar, ZEE5, and SonyLIV tabs.
What are Community Lists?+
Curated collections built from real data — Bollywood by Year, 90s Classics, Oscar Winners, K-Dramas, South Indian Hits, and more. All powered by TMDB ratings and vote counts, not editorial picks.
Is MoodBinge free?+
Yes, completely free. We don't have subscriptions or paywalls. MoodBinge is a discovery tool — you still need your own streaming subscriptions to watch the content.
